Mandurah, Australia –March 19, 2012 -- Raimi Merritt, recently named the 2011 Female Pro-Wakeboarder of the Year by the IWWF, has won her 6th Wakeboarding World Cup Championship in front of over 100,000 spectators at The EYRES Action Sports Games. The event was held Sunday March 18th in Mandurah, Australia. After winning her World Championship in Italy and Malaysia last summer, Raimi Merritt was favored to dominate the field.  Raimi Merritt at just 18 years of age was again in a league of her own in taking this Mandurah World Cup title with a score of 60.55 ahead of Australia’s Amber Wing and Singapore’s Sasha Christian.

Raimi will be competing March 22-24th at Mills Pond Park inFort Lauderdale for the IWWF Pan Am Region Wakeboard Championships.

Hyperlite Wakeboards is excited to announce the signing of free ride phenom Scott Stewart. The 25 year old hails from Springville, California, but now lives full time in Auburndale, Florida, pursuing his number one passion, Wakeboarding. In 2010, Stewart won the BuyWake.com Global Rider Search with a free ride video that turned heads around the globe revealing his west coast style and intense amplitude. By winning this unique online contest it gave Scott the confidence to turn a dream into a reality as a professional wakeboarder.

Hyperlite brought Stewart into the family in late 2011, and the first order of business was dialing up the ideal board and bindings to take his all out style to the next level. With his snowboard background Scott was anxious to get right into the System Binding, and it was a perfect fit. Immediately after his first session Stewart exclaimed, “That was the easiest binding to get used to for me, I finally felt what I thought I was supposed to feel while riding, total control.”
