Bio Though I stepped back from competitive riding after the 2001 season, I never stepped away from my love for wakeboarding. Leaving Austin, Texas in 2002 and moving to Truckee, California made it tougher to get behind the boat as often as I used to. And the addition of my young son Luke in 2005 also affects my frequency on the water. Luckily, Luke loves the boat and I still manage to bust out a few big tricks when I do get on the lake. Maybe the fact that I have less time on the water actually makes me enjoy it more, makes me savor every moment even more because I'm not as spoiled as I once was to get to ride several days a week. One thing I'm sure of is that wakeboarding will always be one of my greatest passions, it has brought so much to my life and I plan to keep riding for a long time to come. I hope to be able to pass along a little of the knowledge I've gained and alot of the stoke that I have for wakeboarding to other girls who love to ride.

Q & A What challenges do you face as a female wakeboarder that may surprise us? As the mom of a toddler, it's hard to get on the water consistently enough to get to my highest level of riding, much less learn new things.
Where & how will we see more progression from the women in our sport? Look to the youngsters! It seems that I am constantly seeing some new young girl that is ripping, and I've never even heard of her before. More and more girls are getting braver behind the boat, and that's what we need to see.
What are your goals for 2009? Ride, ride, ride! Get back some of the tricks I used to have in the bag and learn some new ones - like taking my toe side backside 180 to a 360.
If you don’t spend the day behind the boat, what do you want to do? Surf, surf, surf!
