One of the heavy hitters on the Legion Team, Danny is a clean run away from his first victory on the K.O.W. tour. Making the Semi’s last season multiple times has built his confidence and I think we’ll see him on the podium in 2010. Although he’s always having fun, Danny takes his riding seriously and I know he’s been training hard this winter. Besides having a desire to win he also enjoys giving back to the sport and traveling for any purpose, competition, clinic, exhibition you name it. Building rails and hitting obstacles is one of Danny’s favorite past times and you can expect a heavy dose from him season at every event. -Greg Nelson, Team Manager

Q & A With only 15 riders making the Legion Team, how do you feel about your inclusion and what do have in store for 2010?
DT-I am So Excited to be with Hyperlite, and always will be! This year I have so much coming at you! I will be doing the entire King Of Wake Series, WWA World Series, Pro Wakeboard Tour, Cable events, and as many Rail Jams as possible. With my New Web site coming out, fans will be able to go on and view new videos and photos with updated contest results, www.dannythollander.com.
Is Wakeboarding a job or a lifestyle for you, is one more fun in your opinion?
DT-Wakeboarding has defiantly become a job for me at this point. The “job†part of it has brought me to the best places in the world! But the lifestyle that comes with it is way more fun.
Legion Riders have a great local presence, what’s up with your scene and what’s happening in 2010?
DT-My scene here in Orlando is huge! It’s so easy to get together with other riders with all the lakes here. I live with a few other pro riders and we are in the process of building new rails, and filming something new everyday!
Cable/Wake Parks are the hot topic right now, how much time are you spending behind the cable?
DT-Cables are fun! I think that they are going to be helping with the progression of our sport for years to come. There are 3 cable parks near me, OWC, The Projects and McCormicks. I ride cable once a week to hit rails and learn new air tricks.
Tell us something we would never guess about you as a Hyperlite Legion Rider?
DT-I am Orlando Magic’s #1 fan. I have been training with numb chucks since I was 12. My dog could win the dog Olympics. I’m pretty much a chef and have a dirt bike track in my front yard.
